About Course

This CITB Leadership & Management course in Understanding the Recruitment and Selection of New Staff in Construction was developed by the construction specialists Acadame.

Delivered at our centre in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, virtually online or on-site; the purpose of this standard is to enable the delegate to develop the knowledge and understanding of recruitment and induction as required by practising or potential site supervisors, managers or leaders:

  • identifying shortfalls in employees, their knowledge, skills, and competence
  • the recruitment and selection process

It is recommended that this training standard is delivered in conjunction with Understanding the induction and onboarding of new staff in construction.

Leadership and management are key skills for all construction sites and an area where the industry has identified a need for greater support and training.
