FLT is an abbreviation for Fork Lift Truck. FLT’s are the most common types of machines used for moving large palletised goods. If you drive an FLT then you will need the appropriate FLT licence. To obtain the relevant licence you will need to undergo formal training and testing. It is important that employers ensure that lift-truck operators are trained to the standards outlined in the L117 ACOP, whether using in-house programs or accredited.
