There is no specific time period after which you need to provide refresher training or formal assessment. However, you may decide that automatic refresher training or a retest after a set period (for example 3 years) is the best way to make sure employees remain competent.
This Acadame delivered and ITSSAR accredited (or in house) Refresher Operator course is delivered over 1 day of instruction and is designed to instruct up to a maximum of 3 learners, providing the skills needed to operate the forklift truck safely and efficiently, carry out a pre-use inspection & recall and explain the causes of truck and load instability.
FLT is an abbreviation for Fork Lift Truck. FLT’s are the most common types of machines used for moving large palletised goods. If you drive an FLT then you will need the appropriate FLT licence. To obtain the relevant licence you will need to undergo formal training and testing. It is important that employers ensure that lift-truck operators are trained to the standards outlined in the L117 ACOP, whether using in-house programs or accredited.

This course is only available for those operators with documented evidence of training and who need to renew their certification.
Assessment will be by multiple-choice question paper at the end of the course. Learners are also expected to actively participate during the course.
Once delegates have passed the theory test, they move onto the practical assessment where they will be tested on their ability to operate correctly and skillfully, but also without undue slowness, hesitancy or excessive speed.

Yes. On successful completion the learner will receive an accredited digital ITSSAR or in-house certificate. The certificate will be forwarded by at a later date. A proof of pass can be immediately provided if required though.
