This course is designed for managers, supervisors, safety advisors or any individual who has responsibility to deliver manual handling training to the workforce.
This unit develops the learner’s knowledge of the principles and processes that underpin safe handling in the workplace, including how to carry out an assessment of risk.
This unit develops the learner’s knowledge and skills in the application of basic bio-mechanical principles and safe practices to manual handling tasks within the work place.
The final unit develops the learner’s knowledge and skills so they can prepare, deliver and evaluate a manual handling training session. Dependent on the learners preferred choice, many find it beneficial to bring a laptop to complete their session plan and prepare for their micro-teach.
