About this course

This course builds an in house lifting trainer. It takes somebody who already understands lifting operations and gives them the technical depth and the training skills to deliver slinging and lifting training to the rest of your workforce.

It runs at your premises rather than at our centres, and that is deliberate rather than a convenience. A lifting course taught on somebody else's gear teaches somebody else's job. Here your trainer learns on the slings, shackles, beams and loads your people actually use, in the environment they actually work in, which is what makes the training they go on to deliver credible.

It combines two things that usually sit apart: the lifting knowledge, from legislation and equipment selection through to lift planning, hand signals and sling configuration, and the trainer development, from session planning through to assessing whether anybody has taken it in.

It suits managers, supervisors, safety advisers and experienced personnel who have been given responsibility for lifting training. We deliver it onsite nationwide.
