Duration

How long the NVQ takes to complete

The duration is always lead by the candidate undertaking the qualification. NVQs usually take about 10 weeks.

Progression

What completing this NVQ can lead to

On completion of this NVQ, you could consider taking a higher qualification such as the NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management (Construction) or the NVQ Level 6 in Construction Contracting Operations Management. Your assessor will be delighted to discuss these and any other options with you.

Can you get a Gold CSCS card with SSSTS?

The short answer is no, an SSSTS certificate is not enough to allow you to gain a gold managers CSCS card in the construction industry, or any CSCS card for that matter.

It is however with some sites, a mandatory requirement and a great way to increase your skills and knowledge when it comes to supervising health and safety on construction sites. An SSSTS or SSSTS-Refresher course is one of the best places to start.
