Our responsibility pledges – Whether it be our employees, our trainers, learners, employers or the environment, we want to do the right thing!
We are passionate about minimising our environmental impact. We want every one of you to have an amazing time inside one of our sessions – wherever it happens to be. And as we welcome more employers and learners in to our programs we have been working on ways to minimise our environmental impact and benefit everyone.
You already know what we do – cutting edge safety, health and environmental training programs – but here is what we stand for… Being carbon negative.
It means we want to take twice as much carbon out of the air as we emit.
So, we are raising the bar not only for training providers, but for the employers we work with and for.
We swill start by planting a tree for every course we run and will be completely transparent and open over everything we do.
We will share the good and the bad in all its gory details. and work safely in, forever.
We know how hard our team work to continue our mission, so we didn’t have a sleepless night deciding to become a living wage employer; in fact, we knew that before we made our first hire. Updated with new rates each year, this commitment is just one of the ways in which we recognise the importance of our team.
To those who proudly protect our nation, who do so with honour, courage, and commitment, the Armed Forces Covenant is the nation’s commitment to you.
It is a pledge that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve with their lives.
By signing the Armed Forces Covenant (AFC) we are demonstrating our intention to support the Armed Forces community by delivering them tangible support.
All organisations, acadame included; want to recruit from the widest pool of talent possible to help us to progress not only our commercial objectives, but our social and environmental ones too. It is key to future productivity and performance. The Cabinet Office’s Ethnicity facts and figures website and the Business in the Community (BITC) Race at Work Survey highlight that ethnic minority staff still encounter significant disparities in employment and progression. The government sponsored McGregor-Smith review found that greater progress and positive outcomes are needed to ensure all organisations benefit from the wealth of diverse talent on offer so we didn’t hesitate to sign up to the race at work charter. Through this, we have:
Disability Confident is about creating a movement of change, encouraging employers to think differently about disability and take action to improve how we recruit, retain and develop disabled people.
Being Disability Confident isn’t a badge of honour or marketing strategy, it is a unique opportunity to lead the way in our community to hopefully discover someone our business couldn’t do without.
Our commitment to ethical conduct and compliance with laws includes compliance with laws prohibiting human trafficking and slavery. The UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 defines “modern slavery” as including the offences of “slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour” as well as “human trafficking”, all of which are directly opposed to the values and ethics of our company. Our full statement can be provided on request which includes our mission, supply chain and training.
