The law behind this training
This course is awareness training on temporary works under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, in line with BS 5975 and Temporary Works Forum guidance. It does not qualify anyone as a temporary works co-ordinator or supervisor; those roles need specific training and appointment.
One thing to be clear about: never alter, load or remove temporary works unless you are authorised to. Temporary works hold up the permanent works and the people working near them, and unauthorised changes cause collapses.
- Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
- Work at Height Regulations 2005
Practicalities
How the course works
For employers
Buying for a team
Buying for more than a couple of people is easier on an account: one invoice, licences you allocate as staff join, and a report of who has done what and when it expires.
- One invoice instead of one card payment per person
- Allocate licences as people join
- Completion and expiry reporting for your records
- Bespoke versions written around your own procedures
