CITB Handling Difficult Situations

About this course
CITB Handling Difficult Situations is one of twelve CITB Leadership and Management standards, written for construction by the industry training board rather than adapted from a generic management course.
It covers performance, discipline, conflict, stress and diversity: the five things a supervisor has to deal with and is almost never trained for.
The standard runs to 14 hours. There is no assignment and no portfolio, and the certificate does not expire, so nobody sits it twice.

Method of assessment
How Handling Difficult Situations is assessed
CITB set the assessment for this standard. It is taken at the end of the course.
Take part in full
CITB require full attendance across the 14 hours before the assessment can be sat.
Assessment
A paper of 19 questions, one per assessment criteria point. 75 per cent to pass.
Certificate
Issued against CITB grant code GET3260. It does not expire and there is no refresher requirement on this standard.
