About this course
CITB Understanding the Recruitment and Selection of New Staff in Construction is one of twelve CITB Leadership and Management standards, written for construction by the industry training board rather than adapted from a generic management course.
It is about reading team capability against the programme, spotting the gap, and running a recruitment and selection process that stands up.
The standard runs to 7 hours. There is no assignment and no portfolio, and the certificate does not expire, so nobody sits it twice.
- Assess team capability against programmed productivity, and identify shortfalls in number of employees, and their knowledge, skills and competence
- Identify an effective recruitment and selection process in accordance with organisational procedures for the required roles

CITB require full attendance across the 7 hours before the assessment can be sat.
Assessment
A paper of 9 questions, one per assessment criteria point. 75 per cent to pass.
Certificate
Issued against CITB grant code GET3321. It does not expire and there is no refresher requirement on this standard.
