Delivered over two days by the experts at Acadame, this Level 3 qualification provides an in-depth understanding of a wide range of mental health conditions, as well as the support available from healthcare professionals. Covering the content of both the Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications, this course is specifically designed for trainers, assessors, managers, and supervisors within the workplace.
Mental health is something we all have, and maintaining good mental well-being benefits everyone. With most adults spending a significant portion of their time at work, encouraging a better approach to mental health in the workplace can drive positive change in society both now and in the future.
Our mental health first aid course is open to all employees but is particularly suited to those in managerial or supervisory positions. It’s ideal for individuals responsible for implementing workplace wellbeing strategies or overseeing First Aid for Mental Health within their organisation.
The method of assessment is a one-step journey:
Our mental health first aid course is delivered over two days and covers a broad spectrum of mental health conditions, recognising their symptoms and understanding the support available from healthcare professionals. It includes content from Level 1 and Level 2 mental health courses and builds into supervisory skills for managers and leaders.
While suitable for all employees, this mental health first aid training is tailored to those in supervisory or managerial roles, ideal for individuals responsible for nurturing mental wellbeing, overseeing first aid for mental health, or leading safety culture within their teams.
On successful completion, you will earn a Level 3 qualification in Supervising Mental Health First Aid, demonstrating advanced competence in mental health roles and leadership.
Investing in mental health first aid training helps your organisation meet legal obligations around workplace health and safety. By training supervisors in mental health, you reinforce your duty of care and support an environment of wellbeing and safety.
You’ll learn risk assessment techniques, crisis intervention approaches, how to spot early signs of stress, depression or anxiety, and how to guide individuals toward professional help. All part of advanced mental health training strategies.
Assessment includes a written multiple-choice exam, plus ongoing practical evaluation during the two days. Learners successfully meeting requirements will receive a Level 3 certification in Supervising Mental Health First Aid, valid for three years.
The qualification remains valid for three years. To maintain competence, we encourage refresher training or updates through other mental health courses before expiry.
Yes, we offer custom mental health first aid training sessions delivered at your workplace. We tailor the content to your team’s needs, ensuring all aspects of the mental health first aid course are covered in a way that fits your organisation’s environment.
