NUCO Level 3 First Aid for Mental Health, Supervising, in Derby
Two days at our Derby centre for supervisors and managers across Derbyshire and the east Midlands. The supervising level of first aid for mental health.
About this course
Mental health first aid is not therapy and it is not a diagnosis. It is the same idea as physical first aid: notice that somebody is struggling, start a conversation that does not make it worse, and know what help exists and how to point somebody at it.
The supervising level is aimed at people with responsibility for others. A supervisor or manager is usually the first to see a change in somebody, and is also the person best placed to do something about workload, shift patterns or the thing that is actually causing it.
We run it at Pride Park and onsite across Derbyshire and the east Midlands. Most employers book it for a group of managers rather than one person, which is how the learning actually sticks.
The centre is Pride Park, Pride Park, Derby DE24. Pride Park is immediately off the A52 and close to the A6 and the A50, and Derby station is walkable from the centre.
We draw candidates from Burton upon Trent, Nottingham, Loughborough, Ashbourne, Ilkeston, Long Eaton, Belper and the wider Derbyshire and east Midlands area. If a date at Derby does not suit, the same course runs at our other centres and we can deliver it at your own premises anywhere in the UK.
