A NEBOSH course fee should cover the teaching, the study materials and registration for the NEBOSH assessments, so there is no separate exam fee to find. Prices differ between providers mainly because of what is left out, how much support you get between sessions, and whether you study live online, in a classroom or at your own site.
What the fee should include
- Assessment registration. For the NEBOSH National General Certificate, our course dates include registration for both units, GNC1 and GNC2. Check that any price you compare does too.
- Support between sessions. Every Acadame candidate gets a named Individual Learning Advisor and access to our own eLearning portal between taught sessions.
- Study materials and assessment preparation, which you keep access to in the run up to submission.
Current prices for each course are on its course page, with the live dates.
Why prices differ between providers
When you compare NEBOSH fees, check what is actually in the price. A cheaper headline price with the assessment fee added on top, or with little support between sessions, can end up costing more, especially if it leads to a resit.
| Question to ask | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Is assessment registration included? | If not, it is an extra cost on top of the course. |
| How much tutor support is there between sessions? | Open book assessments reward people who have had help applying what they learned. |
| Is the price for live online, classroom or onsite? | The same certificate can be priced differently for each route. |
| What does a resit cost? | You only pay for the unit you retake, so ask before you book. |

Ways to spread or reduce the cost
- Interest-free instalments are available on our NEBOSH courses.
- ELCAS: we are an ELCAS approved provider, so service leavers and veterans can put Enhanced Learning Credits towards NEBOSH qualifications.
- Group training at your site: for a team, onsite delivery is usually cheaper per head and saves travel.
Before you book
- Decide between classroom, live online or onsite, because the price can differ.
- For the General Certificate, make sure you have access to a real workplace for the GNC2 practical risk assessment.
- Mention instalments or ELCAS when you enquire, so the paperwork is ready before you start.
Which NEBOSH course is right for you?
If health and safety is your job, start with the General Certificate. If you manage construction sites, the Construction Certificate fits better. For fire risk assessment responsibilities, take the Fire Certificate. For venues preparing for Martyn’s Law, choose Standard or Enhanced Duty to match your premises.
