About this course
SEATS is the environmental course in the CITB Site Safety Plus family. It sits alongside SSSTS and SMSTS and covers the part of site management those two leave out: what the law expects of you environmentally, and what goes wrong when nobody is watching it.
CITB developed it for supervisors and managers, and main contractors increasingly ask their subcontractors to hold it before they come on site. Anyone who wants to understand environmental issues on site can take it.
It runs as a classroom day or live online, and we will run it at your own premises for a group anywhere in the UK.

Competence and cards
What SEATS does, and what it does not
SEATS does not award a CSCS card, and no Site Safety Plus course does. What it gives you is a five year CITB certificate that sits alongside whatever card matches your role, and an answer when a main contractor asks what environmental training your supervisors have had.
There is no short refresher for this one. CITB classify the standard as Mandatory Renewal, which means the full day is retaken before the five years are up rather than a half day top up. Let it lapse and you are simply back on the same course.
It is also not the same thing as our Environmental Awareness eLearning. That is a short online introduction for the wider workforce. SEATS is the certificated CITB day for the people running the site.
Sit the one day course
Classroom or live online. Seven hours, full attendance, then the multiple choice assessment.
Five years on the certificate
A CITB Site Safety Plus certificate you can show to a main contractor or put on a prequalification return.
Retake before it expires
CITB treat this one as a mandatory renewal, so the full day is taken again inside five years.

How SEATS is assessed
CITB set the assessment for every Site Safety Plus course, and it is taken at the end of the day.
Take part in full
The day runs on group work, discussion, case studies and presentations, and CITB require full attendance across all seven hours before the assessment can be taken.
Sit the assessment
A multiple choice examination. The CITB standard behind this course is GET2364, a minimum of one day and seven learning hours. Ask us for the current format before you book if it matters to you.
Certificate
A CITB Site Safety Plus certificate, valid for five years.
