The CCNSG Safety Passport course, accredited by the ECITB, is a nationally recognised qualification designed to equip workers on construction and engineering sites with essential health, safety, and environmental knowledge.
This CCNSG training delivers a practical overview of key safety principles, helping contractors and site personnel strengthen their understanding of workplace risks and responsibilities. It is ideal for employees and subcontractors involved in installation and maintenance across the construction and engineering industries.
In addition to on-site training, our ECITB CCNSG Safety Passport course is also available in Stoke, Manchester and Liverpool.
The course is assessed by 80 multi-choice questions covering all the topics in the syllabus. These may be delivered as four 20 question tests (one after each half-day) or two 40 question tests (at the end of each day).
If all the tests are passed (1 resit is allowed) the candidate will be issued with a CCNSG Safety Passport card.
The CCNSG Safety Passport course is a nationally recognised health and safety qualification required for workers on engineering and construction sites. It’s essential for contractors, employees, and subcontractors needing access to industrial sites where safety compliance is a legal and contractual requirement.
Yes, the course is beginner-friendly and ideal for those with limited site experience. It covers all the basic safety principles and responsibilities, making it suitable for anyone starting a role on a construction or engineering site.
The CCNSG Safety Passport is valid for three years. To keep it active, you’ll need to complete a 1-day renewal course before it expires. Many employers expect your card to be up-to-date as part of their access requirements.
The training includes health and safety legislation, risk assessments, manual handling, fire safety, working at height, and dealing with hazardous substances. It also looks at personal safety responsibilities and emergency procedures relevant to site environments.
Assessment is through multiple-choice exams, either delivered as four short tests or two longer ones. You must pass all sections to be awarded your CCNSG Safety Passport. One resit is permitted if needed.
You can attend the course in various UK locations, including Stoke-on-Trent, Manchester, and Liverpool. On-site training for businesses is also available, offering flexibility for group bookings and workforce needs.
