ECITB CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal in Stoke-on-Trent
One day at our Stoke-on-Trent centre to renew a CCNSG Safety Passport for another three years. It has to be done before the passport expires, not after.
About this course
The renewal is one day rather than two, and that is the whole reason to keep an eye on the expiry date. Let the passport lapse and the renewal route closes, which means sitting the full two day course again.
The day revisits the hazards of engineering construction, the permit systems, and what has changed since you last sat it. It is assessed, and the renewed passport runs for a further three years.
Bring photographic identification. ECITB will not issue a passport without it, and turning up without ID is the commonest reason somebody leaves a renewal day with nothing.
The centre is Trent House, 234 Victoria Road, Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent ST4 2LW. Fenton sits just off the A50 and the A500, a few minutes from junction 15 of the M6, and Stoke-on-Trent station is a short taxi ride away.
We draw candidates from Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stafford, Crewe, Congleton, Leek, Cheadle, Uttoxeter, Market Drayton and the wider Staffordshire and south Cheshire area. If a date at Stoke-on-Trent does not suit, the same course runs at our other centres and we can deliver it at your own premises anywhere in the UK.

Who should attend?
Anybody holding a CCNSG Safety Passport that is approaching its three year expiry, working across Staffordshire, Cheshire and the west Midlands. Employers usually book a group together so the expiry dates stay aligned.
Entry requirements. A current CCNSG Safety Passport. Bring it with you, or have the number to hand, because we have to check it. If it has expired you cannot sit the renewal.

Before the day
Joining instructions with timings, the address and what to bring. Tell us at booking if anybody needs support with reading, writing or access and we will sort it quietly.
On the day
Arrive a few minutes early. Bring photographic identification, which most awarding bodies require before they will certificate you.
Afterwards
We tell you the outcome and handle the registration and certification with the awarding body. If anything needs resitting we will get it booked.

Valid for 39 months from the date of the renewal assessment, which the ECITB extended from three years in September 2026.

CCNSG Renewal FAQs
The renewal route is closed and you need the full two day CCNSG Safety Passport course again. Book the renewal a month or two before the expiry date rather than the week of it.
Yes. ECITB require photographic ID before they will issue a passport, so bring a passport or photocard driving licence. Without it there is no card whatever happens in the room.
