The NPORS N135 Multi Directional Lift Truck course is designed to equip operators with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to safely and efficiently operate multi-directional lift trucks. This comprehensive training programme covers key areas such as understanding industry hazards, interpreting manufacturer’s guidelines, conducting pre-operational checks, and mastering the operation of the lift truck in various environments. Emphasising safety and compliance, the course also addresses the correct procedures for load handling and transportation. Upon successful completion, candidates receive an NPORS-accredited certification, valid for five years, demonstrating their competence and commitment to maintaining high industry standards.

  • Conducting pre-operational and running checks in accordance with manufacturer and legislative requirements
  • Safely mounting and dismounting the lift truck
  • Configuring the lift truck for site and travel, including operating on various terrain types
  • Manoeuvring and positioning the machine accurately in restricted and open areas
  • Lifting, transporting, and placing different load types using correct procedures
  • Carrying out shutdown and securing procedures at the end of the working day or task
Methods of Assessment

The method of assessment is a three-step journey:

A written assessment covering regulations, machine controls, and operational safety.

Candidates will demonstrate the safe operation of the tool, including pre-operational checks and performing tasks.

Candidates will showcase proper shutdown techniques to ensure safety and compliance.
