Suitability
those who undertake work to produce products from glass and related materials in the glass processing sector. This covers the handling of products throughout the process. Units in this qualification cover cutting, shaping, assembling and finishing the products, including decoration.
This qualification should be taken by those who are experienced glass processors, capable of dealing with a wide range of issues, including the identification and rectification of technical problems and working with a wide range of glass types.Candidates may be required to show the skills and knowledge to assess products or work procedures and identify possible improvements, and may also be responsible for setting up glass processing machinery.
Level
An NVQ Level 3 is equivalent to two A Levels.
By their nature, NVQ qualifications are very different to A-Levels as they display your ability to specific work environments and job roles, whereas A-Levels display a more general academic achievement.
Duration
The duration is always lead by the candidate undertaking the qualification. NVQs usually take about 10 weeks.
Progression
Once you have achieved your level 3 certificate, you may also wish to further your knowledge and take another NVQ at a higher level. Popular NVQs to progress to include the Leadership Qualifications like the L3 Diploma in Occupational Work Supervision
