As the construction industry transitions from Industry Accreditation (IA) cards to recognised qualifications like NVQs, CITB supports this evolution through Short Qualification Grants. These grants offer financial aid for NVQs, facilitating the advancement of construction workers in their careers. With grants ranging from £600 to £1,500, CITB encourages individuals to pursue qualifications in construction areas.
The GQA Blue Skilled Worker card is designated for individuals who have successfully obtained Glass, Glazing & Fenestration NVQs at level 2, completed an apprenticeship (including Employer-sponsored apprenticeships, City and Guilds of London Institute Craft Certificate, or a CSCS Approved Trailblazer), or have acquired another industry-approved qualification.
The GQA Gold Skilled Worker card is specifically designed for individuals who have reached the milestone of attaining Glass, Glazing & Fenestration NVQs at level 3, completed an apprenticeship (including Employer-sponsored apprenticeships, City and Guilds of London Institute Craft Certificate, or a CSCS Approved Trailblazer), or have obtained another industry-approved qualification.
