About Course

Asbestos awareness training provides workers and supervisors with essential knowledge to prevent accidental disturbance of asbestos during routine tasks that may affect a building’s structure or other materials containing asbestos.

Under Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, employers must ensure that all employees who may be exposed to asbestos, as well as those responsible for supervising them, receive appropriate information, instruction, and training.

How Completing This Course Will Help You:

Individuals undertaking non-licensed work involving asbestos-containing materials, as outlined in Regulation 3(2) of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, must adhere to relevant safety requirements.

This typically applies to a range of trade professionals, including but not limited to demolition and construction workers, maintenance personnel, electricians, plumbers, gas fitters, painters, decorators, joiners, shop fitters, plasterers, and roofers. Others who may encounter asbestos in their work include heating and ventilation engineers, telecommunication technicians, computer installers, alarm system fitters, architects, building surveyors, and similar professionals responsible for tasks that could disturb asbestos-containing materials.
