This Temporary card is exclusively designed for Supervisors, Managers, and Technical Workers who possess on-the-job experience, typically totaling at least one year within the last three. These individuals must be registered to pursue an approved construction-related Technical, Supervisory, or Management (TSM) NVQ/SVQ at Level 3, SVQ at SCQF Level 6 or higher.
The card remains valid for a duration of three years and cannot be extended. Cardholders are anticipated to successfully complete their qualification by the time the card expires and subsequently apply for a skilled CSCS card. To obtain this card, candidates can opt to schedule either the HS&E Test for Managers and Professionals or the HS&E Specialist Supervisors test.

Not sure when your card expires? You can either download the CSCS Smart Check app on App Store or Google Play to check any construction industry card displaying the CSCS logo, or you can use the online card checker.
The Experienced Technical, Supervisor or Manager card is available specifically to Supervisors, Managers and Technical Workers with on the job experience (normally at least one year in the last three) whom are registered to a complete an approved construction related Technical, Supervisory or Management (TSM) NVQ/SVQ Level 3, SVQ at SCQF level 6 or higher.
All applicants must pass the CITB health, safety and environment test (HSE) for supervisors or manager, or any other test relevant to your role. You can select this option when booking online or let the team know if you’re booking over the phone.
The quickest and most convenient way to apply for your Red Experienced Technical, Supervisor or Manager CSCS card is via the CSCS online application service.
An Internet Test Centre (ITC) is a centre approved by CITB to provide testing facilities for tests such as the Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test and Managers and Professionals (MaPs) test as well as many more.
Completing the HSE tests is a step towards your CSCS card, you will also need your individual course or qualifications depending on which card you want, for example the Green Labourers CSCS card you will have to have completed a Level 1 H&S or CITB Health & Safety Awareness Course and a CITB HS&E Operatives Test to apply for your Green Labourers CSCS card.
