Six short modules on the warden's job specifically: the duties, the sweep, the assembly point and what happens afterwards.
The warden's role
What a fire warden is responsible for, and just as importantly, what they are not.
Fire behaviour and prevention
How fire starts and spreads, and the routine checks that stop it.
Preventative duties
Fire doors, escape routes, housekeeping and the checks a warden makes before anything happens.
Raising the alarm and sweeping
Acting on the alarm, sweeping an area methodically, and dealing with people who will not move.
Assisting evacuation
Helping people who cannot self-evacuate, refuge points and personal emergency evacuation plans.
Assembly, roll call and reporting
Accounting for people, reporting to the fire service, and the debrief afterwards.

Your legal duty
The law behind fire warden training
In England and Wales the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires the responsible person to make arrangements for evacuation, to nominate competent people to implement those arrangements, and to provide adequate fire safety training. Fire wardens are how most organisations meet that nomination duty.
Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own fire safety legislation rather than the 2005 Order. The duties are broadly comparable, but check which regime applies to your premises.

Fire Warden eLearning: common questions
The Fire Safety Order requires the responsible person to nominate competent people to implement evacuation arrangements and to provide adequate training. Training is how that competence is established and evidenced.
There is no fixed ratio in law. It depends on the size and layout of the premises, the number of floors, the shift pattern and the people present. You need enough wardens so that every area is covered whenever the building is occupied.
It covers the knowledge. Wardens also need to know your building, take part in your drills, and practise the sweep. That part cannot be done online.
A personal emergency evacuation plan for someone who cannot evacuate unaided. The course explains what one is and the warden's part in it.
