L3 Supervising Mental Health for First Aid in Stoke

We all have mental health. Better mental health is good for everyone and recognising this is good for society. Most adults spend at least a third of their time at work. We start there to change how society deals with mental health now and in the future.

This 2-Day course goes into detail on a wide range of mental health conditions and the support and help provided by healthcare professionals. It covers the content of both the Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications but is aimed at Trainer/Assessors and/or supervisor level within the workplace. A Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment.

Suitability.

The Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health is an advanced Ofqual (RQF) certified course for individuals responsible for managing health & safety in the workplace.

Assessment.

Summative practical assessment is ongoing by the instructor each day, along with a written assessment on each day. A Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment. No external assessors are required.

How long does this Mental Health First Aid course take to complete?

The classroom course is held over 2 days.

Will I be issued with a certificate upon successful Supervising Mental Health First Aid completion?

Yes. On successful completion the learner will receive an accredited certificate. The certificate will be forwarded at a later date. A proof of pass can be immediately provided if required though.

How long is the Supervising Mental Health for First Aid certificate valid for?

Upon successful completion of the qualification assessment, Learners will be awarded the Ofqual regulated Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health (RQF)/Award in Leading First Aid in Mental Health at SCQF Level 6. This qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement. It is strongly recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training. The learner will need to complete the full course again to requalify for a further three years.

Are there any entry requirements for Supervising Mental Health for First Aid?

A maximum of 16 students can be accommodated on this course and all candidates must be a minimum of 16 years of age to qualify.
