The Webinar style CITB Health and Safety Awareness (HSA) Green Labourer Card CSCS course is for those who have entered, or are about to enter, the construction and civil engineering industry as a member of the workforce to help them understand the potential hazards that they face at work on site.
Assessment will be by multiple-choice question paper at the end of the course. Learners are also expected to actively participate during the course.
- The examination paper consists of 25 multiple-choice questions selected by CITB.
- The examination pass mark is 80% (20 out of 25).
How do I get a Green Labourer CSCS Card?
Step 1: CITB Health & Safety Awareness 1 Day Course
You should complete the CITB Health & Safety Awareness Course. We have one running weekly from our centre in Stoke-on-Trent.
Step 2: Complete the Operatives HSE Test
All applicants must pass the CITB health, safety and environment test (HSE) for operatives or any other test relevant to your role. You can select this option when booking online or let the team know if you’re booking over the phone.
Step 3: Apply for your Green Labourer CSCS Card
The quickest and most convenient way to apply for your Green Labourer CSCS card is via the CSCS online application service.
CITB pay grants to registered employers via the CITB Short Course Grants, this is for the achievement of approved short courses, which last from 3 hours to 29 days and are focused on the core construction skills needed across the industry.
The CITB Health & Safety Awareness course is eligible for a Tier 1 CITB Grant Payment of £60
After successfully reserving your spot, you can expect the following steps:
An email confirming your reservation will be sent to you, providing comprehensive instructions to ensure your spot is secured.
You’ll receive friendly reminder emails 7 days before the course commences, as well as 24 hours in advance.
It’s essential to arrive at the course venue at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
Don’t forget to bring your identification (ID) with you.
Attend the course as scheduled and complete the required assessment.
Once we receive confirmation of your payment, we’ll promptly send your certificates as soon as they are obtained from the awarding body. Please note that some awarding bodies may take up to 6 weeks to process these certificates.
