The Acadame Manual Handling Awareness Course is delivered by experienced health and safety professionals from our HQ and across the UK. This half-day manual handling awareness training provides practical guidance on recognising and managing the risks associated with lifting, pushing, and moving tasks safely in the workplace.
Participants will learn how to carry out a personal risk assessment, identify hazards, and apply correct lifting techniques to prevent injury. The course combines expert instruction with practical demonstrations, ensuring learners gain the confidence to implement safe manual handling practices on the job.
This manual handling course meets the standards set by the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (MHOR) and helps employers ensure staff are trained in safe handling methods. The session includes videos, visual aids, and downloadable materials to reinforce learning and support safe practices at work.
Completing this manual handling training equips staff with the skills and knowledge to protect themselves and colleagues, reduce workplace injuries, and foster a culture of safety. The method of assessment is a one-step journey:
Assessment will be by multiple-choice question paper at the end of the course. Learners are also expected to actively participate during the course.
