This is a FREE eLearning course that underpins all Competence Frameworks.
The purpose of this standard is to provide the delegate with the knowledge and/or skills to support the following:

- The Building Safety Act & key roles
- Compartmentation, its purpose and how it works
- The elements of a building that prevent fires from starting in the first place e.g. Non-combustible materials
- The elements of a building that prevent fires from spreading and how they do that

- Protected escape routes
- The need for competence as an individual
- The importance of quality workmanship
- The need to install elements correctly & the consequences when they are not installed correctly
- Individuals’ responsibility to act in accordance with training and instructions given
- The implications of breaching or interfering with fire protection measures (passive or active) already installed
- The importance of reporting issues & how to do this
