To teach general operatives / supervisors / managers on the aspects of planning and controlling a lifting operation and associated regulations.

- Identify the current legislation and ACOP's applicable to lifting operations
- Identify and explain the requirements for managing a lifting operation
- Identify and explain the role of the AP in respect to the lift category
- Identify and explain the lifting operations personnel, identify roles and responsibilities.

- The basic requirements of legislation, regulations and codes of practice relating to a lifting operation including lifting with excavators / telehandler suspended loads

- Management of a lifting operation, AP
- The requirements of a basic, Intermediate, and complex lift
- Lifting personnel, roles and responsibilities Crane Supervisor, Slinger/signaller
