The NPORS N014 Marine Knuckle Boom Crane qualification is designed to equip operators with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to safely and efficiently operate knuckle boom cranes in offshore environments. This comprehensive training programme covers key areas such as understanding offshore lifting operations, interpreting lift plans and risk assessments, identifying major machine components and controls, conducting pre-operational checks, and adhering to relevant legislation including the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, PUWER, and LOLER regulations. Upon successful completion, candidates will receive an NPORS-accredited certification, valid for five years, demonstrating their competence and commitment to industry standards.

The method of assessment is a three-step journey:

Candidates will demonstrate the safe operation of the tool, including pre-operational checks and performing tasks.

Candidates will showcase proper shutdown techniques to ensure safety and compliance.
