The NPORS N114 Overhead Container Gantry Crane course is designed to provide operators with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to safely and efficiently operate overhead container gantry cranes. This comprehensive training programme covers key areas such as understanding the operator’s responsibilities, conducting pre-operational checks, manoeuvring within various environments, and adhering to relevant health and safety legislation. Upon successful completion, candidates will receive an NPORS-accredited certification, valid for five years, demonstrating their competence and commitment to maintaining high industry standards in port and container terminal operations.

  • Understanding operator responsibilities under health and safety legislation
  • Identifying and explaining key components of the overhead container gantry crane
  • Conducting pre-operational and safety checks in line with manufacturer and legal requirements

Candidates will showcase proper shutdown techniques to ensure safety and compliance.
