Suitable for both novice and experienced operators, this qualification ensures compliance with industry standards and promotes a culture of safety.

Course Content

  • Conduct all pre-operational and running checks in accordance with manufacturer and legislative requirements.
  • Identify and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for dozer use 
  • Conduct all necessary safety checks at the work area. 
  • Prepare the dozer for use, operate machinery safely and efficiently. 
  • Attach and set trailed, mounted attachments ready for work. 
  • Understand environmental considerations. 
  • Manage the storage and transport of implements and attachments. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of loading and unloading procedures for machine transportation. 
  • Carry out all end-of-shift and shutdown procedures.
Methods of Assessment

The method of assessment is a three-step journey:

A written assessment covering regulations, machine controls, and operational safety.

Candidates will demonstrate the safe operation of the tool, including pre-operational checks and performing tasks.

Candidates will showcase proper shutdown techniques to ensure safety and compliance.
