About the NPORS N241 Pay Welder

The NPORS N241 Pay Welder qualification is designed to provide operators with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to safely and effectively operate pay welder machinery within construction and industrial settings. This comprehensive course covers key areas including understanding industry hazards, conducting pre-operational checks, and adhering to relevant legislation such as the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, PUWER, and LOLER. Suitable for both novice and experienced operators, the training combines theoretical instruction with hands-on practice, emphasising the importance of safety protocols, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and environmental considerations. Upon successful completion, candidates receive an NPORS Operator Card, valid for up to five years, recognising their competence in pay welder operations.

The method of assessment is a three-step journey:

Candidates will showcase proper shutdown techniques to ensure safety and compliance.
