Our Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Curtain Wall Installation offers specialised assessment in the installation and maintenance of curtain wall systems used in modern building facades. Candidates will evidence how to interpret architectural drawings, assemble curtain wall components, and install systems to meet design specifications and performance requirements. With a focus on safety, quality assurance, and teamwork, successful candidates will be prepared to work as curtain wall installers, contributing to the construction of high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, and architectural landmarks.

Completing an NVQ doesn’t require you to take traditional exams. Instead, assessment is based around your competency in fulfilling your job role duties to meet occupational standards. Assessors will evaluate you based on the contents of your portfolio. It’s essential to maintain this portfolio with evidence showcasing the tasks, duties, and accomplishments you’ve accomplished in work.

The quickest and most convenient way to apply for your GQA Blue Skilled card is via the GQA Application Service.
The Q-Card can also be requested by completing an application form which can be obtained by email on info@gqaqualifications.com or by calling 01142-720033.
Application forms will be checked, processed and if all is correct, a card will be issued, normally within 7 working days. All GQA CSCS Q-Cards cost £30.
An Internet Test Centre (ITC) is a centre approved by CITB to provide testing facilities for tests such as the Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test and Managers and Professionals (MaPs) test as well as many more.
Completing the HSE tests is a step towards your CSCS card, you will also need your individual course or qualifications depending on which card you want, for example the Green Labourers CSCS card you will have to have completed a Level 1 H&S or CITB Health & Safety Awareness Course and a CITB HS&E Operatives Test to apply for your Green Labourers CSCS card.

Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Curtain Wall Installation costs £850 +Vat if completed within 12 months. Payment plans are available.

Suitability
This work-based qualification is aimed at those who work as installers of curtain walling systems. Candidates should require minimum supervision in undertaking the job. Level
An NVQ Level 2 is equivalent of having five A* - C grade GCSEs.
By their nature, NVQ qualifications are very different to GCSEs as they display your ability to specific work environments and job roles, whereas GCSEs display a more general academic achievement.
Duration
The duration is always lead by the candidate undertaking the qualification. NVQs usually take about 10 weeks.
Progression
Once you have achieved your level 2 certificate, you may also wish to further your knowledge and take another NVQ at a higher level. Popular NVQs to progress to include the Leadership Qualifications like the L3 Diploma in Occupational Work Supervision

This GQA blue tradesman card is available subject to the achievement of the Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Curtain Wall Installation.

GQA’s Q-Card is a partner scheme for CSCS, having sole responsibility for the Glazing/Fenestration and Glass related industries and GQA.
