Nebosh General

Studied for me Nebosh General in Feb 26 with Alan Starr. Very pleased with all the support from both Alan and Matt, very happy to have passed. I feel without the support this enabled me to get my Nebosh. The course was full of examples and scenarios, which gave a better insight of expectations and real life situations. Thanks so much Academe, I will be enrolling a few members of my management team to complete IOSH in the near future.

Why You Should Consider a Career in Carpentry

Why You Should Consider a Career in Carpentry

With countless career options, it’s important to find a path that not only provides financial stability but also offers the satisfaction of working with your hands and creating something tangible. Carpentry is one such profession that combines these elements and offers a rewarding and fulfilling career. In this blog post, we will explore the many reasons why you should consider a career in carpentry, and how our Carpentry NVQs here at Acadame can help you get there.

High Demand and Job Security
Carpenters are always in demand. From building houses and commercial structures to renovating existing spaces, the need for skilled carpenters is constant. In an ever-growing construction industry, job security is a significant advantage for those pursuing a career in carpentry.

Hands-On Creativity
If you enjoy working with your hands and turning raw materials into functional structures, carpentry offers the perfect outlet for your creativity. Carpenters have the unique ability to shape and craft wood into a variety of structures, from cabinets and furniture to entire buildings.

Financial Rewards
Carpenters can earn a respectable income, and their earnings often increase with experience. Many carpenters also have the opportunity to work independently as contractors, allowing them to set their rates and potentially earn even more.

Sustainable Career Choice
Carpentry is a timeless profession. As long as there is a need for construction and woodworking, carpenters will have job opportunities. Additionally, wood is a renewable and sustainable resource, making carpentry an environmentally friendly career choice.

Constant Learning
The carpentry industry is continually evolving, with new techniques, tools, and materials emerging. This means that carpenters must stay up-to-date with the latest developments, making it a dynamic and intellectually stimulating field.

Independence
Many carpenters have the option to work independently. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit, you can start your own carpentry business, allowing you to be your own boss and make key decisions about your work.
