The CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal course, accredited by the ECITB, is a nationally recognised qualification aimed at refreshing the essential health, safety, and environmental knowledge required for those working in construction and engineering.
This ECITB training provides a concise yet comprehensive review of key safety topics, helping contractors and site personnel maintain a strong understanding of workplace risks and best practices. Through a practical approach, participants reinforce their awareness of industry regulations and safety responsibilities.
Suitable to employees who have already sat a previous two day course within the last three years and that they are within six months before their card expiry date.
Attending a one-day Safety Passport Renewal course, which revises and where necessary updates the topics covered in the National Course. This will be assessed by 60 multi- choice questions, either two 30 question tests or one 60 question test.

The CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal course is a 1-day refresher designed for those who already hold a valid CCNSG Safety Passport. It updates your knowledge of health and safety legislation, site rules, and best practice to ensure continued compliance.
This course is for anyone whose CCNSG Safety Passport is due to expire. It’s particularly important for contractors, employees, and subcontractors working on industrial or engineering sites where an up-to-date passport is a mandatory requirement.
Once completed successfully, the CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal extends your certification for another 3 years. It must be taken before your current card expires to avoid completing the full 2-day course again.
The course covers updates to health and safety law, safe systems of work, hazard awareness, risk assessments, and responsibilities on site. It ensures candidates are fully refreshed on the critical elements of site safety.
Assessment is via a multiple-choice test at the end of the course. You’ll need to achieve a pass mark to renew your card, with the option to resit if required.
The renewal course is completed in just 1 day, making it a quick and efficient way to keep your certification valid without having to repeat the full training.
