Slinger Signaller Level 2 NVQ is a competency-based qualification. The NVQ is used to show that you are working at the correct level in your role as a slinger/signaller. By completing this qualification, you show that you are working at the required level, leading to employment or progression opportunities in your role. NOTE: You will need approx. 2 years of experience in the role related to this NVQ, and currently be working in a relevant role.

It is possible to tailor the qualification to your area of expertise or your role by specialising in cranes, lifting equipment, or plant and machinery.
The ProQual Level 2 Diploma in Ground Works Operations qualification provides a nationally recognised qualification for existing workers and new entrants to the Civil Construction Industry, working in the specialised area of ground works operations. Candidates will utilise practical and technical skills needed to work as a ground works operative.
To achieve the qualification candidates must complete the two Mandatory units plus the required Mandatory and/or Optional Units from one of the Pathways. Candidates may complete any of the Additional Units but these will not count towards the qualification.
The course aims to ensure delegates are working towards compliance with The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) 2002, and that they understand the purpose of spill kits as well as how they can prevent a spill from spreading further.
