Nebosh General

Studied for me Nebosh General in Feb 26 with Alan Starr. Very pleased with all the support from both Alan and Matt, very happy to have passed. I feel without the support this enabled me to get my Nebosh. The course was full of examples and scenarios, which gave a better insight of expectations and real life situations. Thanks so much Academe, I will be enrolling a few members of my management team to complete IOSH in the near future.

About the Workstation DSE Assessment in Education eLearning Course

The “Workstation DSE Assessment in Education Tool” is a practical resource designed for educational institutions to facilitate the assessment of employees designated as Display Screen Equipment (DSE) users. It underscores the significance of adhering to health and safety regulations, particularly the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations as amended by the Health and Safety (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2002.

This resource emphasises the obligation of educational institutions, particularly schools, to identify employees falling within the DSE user category and evaluate their specific requirements as mandated by health and safety regulations. It defines a DSE user as an employee habitually using DSE for a significant portion of their workday. The tool underscores that once an employee is identified as a DSE user, the school must conduct a suitable DSE assessment, which should be periodically reviewed. It also highlights the importance of employee cooperation in this process.
