The NPORS N303 Circular Saw qualification is designed to equip operators with the essential knowledge and practical skills required for the safe and efficient use of circular saws across various industries. This comprehensive one-day course covers key areas such as understanding industry hazards, conducting pre-operational checks, selecting appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and adhering to relevant legislation including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and PUWER regulations. Upon successful completion, candidates will be proficient in operating circular saws in compliance with safety standards, thereby enhancing workplace safety and operational efficiency
The method of assessment is a three-step journey:
A written assessment covering regulations, machine controls, and operational safety.
Candidates will demonstrate the safe operation of the tool, including pre-operational checks and performing tasks.
Candidates will showcase proper shutdown techniques to ensure safety and compliance.
