Your legal duty
The law behind menopause awareness training
There is no menopause-specific legislation in the UK. What applies are the general duties. The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 requires employers to ensure health, safety and welfare so far as is reasonably practicable, and the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 cover matters such as temperature, ventilation and welfare facilities that are directly relevant.
Employment law can also be engaged. Depending on the individual circumstances, menopause-related treatment may raise issues under the Equality Act 2010 - most obviously in relation to age, sex and disability. This course is awareness training and does not give legal advice on individual cases.

Practicalities
How the course works
For employers
Menopause Awareness training for a team
Menopause awareness works best when managers and colleagues have both done it, the barrier is almost always awkwardness rather than unwillingness.
- One invoice instead of a card payment per person
- Licences allocated as people join, so induction is covered
- Completion and expiry reporting for your records
- Renewal reminders before certificates lapse
- Bespoke versions built around your own procedures
Reasonable adjustments and protected characteristics are covered more fully there. See the Equality and Diversity course →
Menopause Awareness eLearning: common questions
No menopause-specific legislation exists. The general health, safety and welfare duties apply, and depending on the circumstances the Equality Act 2010 may be engaged.
It depends entirely on the individual circumstances and the effect on day-to-day activities. That is a legal question for a specific case, not something a course can answer in general.
Yes. Most managers of women experiencing menopause are not themselves experiencing it, and awkwardness is the main barrier to support. The course is written for everyone.
Usually simple ones: temperature and ventilation, uniform flexibility, access to cold water and toilets, rest breaks, quiet space and flexibility around sleep disruption.
Not legally, but a policy makes it clear that requests are normal rather than exceptional. The course covers what one usually contains and why culture matters more.
About 30 minutes, with no time limit. Start it, pause it, and come back whenever suits. The certificate is issued the moment you finish.
