This comprehensive training covers key areas such as understanding industry hazards, conducting pre-operational checks, setting up exclusion zones, and adhering to relevant legislation including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, PUWER, and LOLER regulations. Through a blend of theoretical instruction and hands-on practice, candidates will learn to operate horizontal directional drilling rigs in compliance with safety standards, thereby improving workplace safety and operational efficiency. Successful completion of the course leads to NPORS certification, valid for up to five years.

The method of assessment is a three-step journey:
